What Can You Fit In A KinderPod?

Ever wondered how Father Christmas fits all those pressies in his sack?

It’s impressive, right?

They just seem to keep coming out and you wonder how they all fitted in there in the first place.

Now, we are not suggesting that you should load your KinderPod up with Christmas gifts!

But, the same premise applies.

You can fit a surprisingly large amount of tiny humans and gear into a KinderPod when heading out for an excursion or utilising it as an evacuation management tool.

How much stuff, you ask? Well, read on to find out.

Seating The Tiny Humans

When you have a KinderPod, you can move numerous children at once, depending on your needs and their ages. Here are some of the scenarios:

Evacuation Management

Evacuating your Centre in an emergency needs to be an efficient and safe process. That’s why the KinderPod is the perfect solution as you can strap multiple children of varying ages in and safely transport them away from danger.

In an emergency, the KinderPod gives you the power to move anywhere between one and six children in a single trip. You can configure your KinderPod to suit your Centre too with a double base stroller option, then toddler and baby seat add-ons.

Excursion Time!

Leaving the Centre on a trip? Well, KinderPod can help you get yourself, the kids and ALL of their stuff there efficiently. While the Arohanui can seat up to six children at one time, it’s important to be mindful of the weight of the children and whether or not you will be pushing them uphill!

For practicality and versatility, four tiny humans seem to be the ideal excursion number for a KinderPod. This allows you plenty of manoeuvrability to go uphill, off road or over curbs without the need for Hulk muscles. And because of all that room, you can configure the various seating options in a way that suits you. That configuration can easily be changed for each different excursion too.

All The Weight

As we said before, you wouldn’t necessarily want to put a whole bunch of presents in your KinderPod… but you could! The Arohanui double stroller has a maximum weight capacity of a whopping 70kg.

The average NZ 2 year old weighs around 12-15kg, so you can easily transport a whole bunch of them. It even leaves you several kilos of space to carry snacks, as we know how toddlers LOVE to eat!

Mixing It Up

The really cool thing with the KinderPod is that you have multiple seating options, depending on which pods you use on the day. That means one day you could take babies and toddlers the next, or a mixture of both.

The Arohanui has a standard side-by-side double stroller as its base piece. From there, you can mix and match to your heart’s content! Add a double toddler seat and you can transport four toddlers. Add a baby reclining seat plus a single toddler seat and you’re moving four kids again. Or, configure two single baby recliner seats or a double recliner baby seat and you have different options again!

KinderPod moves the tiny humans you need moved in the way that you need to move them!

Accessorise Up

Every gal loves her accessories, so KinderPod has an impressive range to choose from. Weather looking a bit dodgy? No problem, you can keep the kids dry with a selection of rain covers:

Perhaps the weather is going to the other extreme and you don’t want the kids to cook in the sun. No problem, you can get a double sunshade for the Arohanui.

Then, you can also cater for the tiniest of humans with a newborn mattress that fits within any of the baby recliner seats or a Cosy Toes sleeping bag that suits the main seats of the buggy or the baby recliner seats.

Don’t want to use the accessories now but would like to have them with you in case? Then, simply store them in the massive sealable storage basket in the under section of the pram.

All The Things

Children come with a LOT of stuff, especially when you are heading out and about. Luckily, the KinderPod has an exceptionally generous storage compartment in the undercarriage area of the pram. Heck, you could probably fit Santa’s sack in there if you tried hard enough!

That’s how spacious it is.

But seriously, that storage area is the perfect place for all the things you might need on a trip away from your Centre. It runs the length of the pram and zips closed to keep everything safe. Here’s just some of the items you can pack in there:

  • Rain cover
  • Sun cover
  • First aid kit
  • Lunchboxes
  • Formula
  • Nappies
  • Picnic blanket
  • Snugglies
  • Camera
  • Water bottles
  • Thermos (for all the coffee!)
  • Teddy bears to boost the guest list at a Teddy bear’s picnic
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect repellent
  • Changes of clothes
  • Towels
  • Wetbags
  • Hats
  • Swimming gear
  • Snacks
  • More snacks
  • Wet wipes and tissues
  • Still more snacks
  • And for good measure… more snacks
